I would lay my whole portfolio that most of the character work here was done in Poser (specifically Poser 7 with the FireFly rendering engine). And though it is good quality, I have seen much much better. If you're looking for good content at a free price, check out Renderotica (http://www.renderotica.com). There are folks over there that will make your head spin, if you're lucky enough to not have it blow clean off!
